I can't wait for this one, the story etc look above par and theres the added bonus of SMG. After watching a seemingly endless stream of trailers yesterday (I'll never again get to the the movies THAT early again) it doesn't look like there will be anything to get excited about for a long time. Who makes this crap? By now there should be equations for successful movies, timing, tempo, volume, duration, lighting, direction, pacing,pause/effect, interaction, etc. A second by second formula, based on a breakdown of every successful movie ever created. It should be as easy as 'baking a cake' and there should be plenty of good receipes readily available. They keep re-inventing the wheel - dumb@sses.

I saw the original in LA, Ju-On. Veeerry nice. Scared the crap out of me, let me just say that. And also, very nicely put together. The direction is great [and the director, Takashi Shimizu was there at the viewing of the original, and did a Q&A afterwards] and the sound was awesome.. it was very subtle, which made it much creepier. Hee.. just thinking about it kind of creeps me out.. but also really excited.
One of the things Takashi Shimizu said was that the original was a sequel [obviously] and that the remake, with Sarah, will have the original and bits of the short films leading up to the movies in it, as well as the sequel [the original that I saw]. Which is very exciting.
We even got to see the 10 minute short film that started the entire Ju-On series. It was shown before the movie was.
BTW - The director is seriously funny.

The film is amazing. It keeps you on edge all the time and although it has the horror movie cliche thing of don't go in the cupboard and so on, it's still one amazing film. It gave me the creeps all the way through it and after too and I'm good with horror films (they don't faze me). It's definitly a must see film. I'm seeing it again with my boyfriend.Lol.

no-one take this personal, but i think this movie totally sucks! it looks good from the outside, but it is confusing, hard to follow, they keep going back and forth with time zones and the japanese people look creepy in this!
