Anyone see the new Matrix movie? Was it any good? ...I skipped the last one, my friends told me there was almost a 'riot' after the ending of the second one...

I just saw 'Matrix: Revolutions' the other night and I have 4 words for you. Don't. Waste. Your. Time. I'm not usually so 'rr' with movies but this one sort.... bombed. It was a major flop.
Spoilers Below: * * * * * * * * * * Okay, at the beginning of the movie, it was very hard to grip and get into. You [of course] start off from the 'TO BE CONTINUED' of the last movie but unless you've seen the last movie very recently, it's all a big blur and you have no clue what's going on until maybe 15 mins. from the beginning.
I'm sorry to report that Trinity dies but listen... the way she died was SO melow-dramatic and she's impaled on these big steel rods, right? [Think of Cordy in Lover's Walk but with like 4 more of those.] Well, usually when someone is impaled on maybe 5 of those, you don't have a lot of breaths left, maybe 3, okay? Trinity, apparently, had like 1000 because she made this whole entire speech on what she called 'her last breath'. Nuh-uh, nope. She said how she loved Neo like 50 times and how she believed her could go on like 20 times and omg, you get to the point where you're just going 'DIE ALREADY'. I swear, she makes a 5-10 minutes speech AFTER being impaled.
And just the entire movie was so overly dramatic and during the fight between Neo and Smith, there's these big implotions of water, and not once [the way it should be.] You would think that to make the fight interesting you would only implode the water ONCE but no, no, no. Like 50 times they'd fly at each other and when they hit there'd me these big implotions of water and it just got to the point where it wasn't interesting anymore and you expected it. And at the end of the fight [or so you *think* it's the end] when Neo just got up off the ground after laying there for say, 3 minutes, he punches Smith into the earth and you're pretty sure it's over. Nuh uh, Smith comes back outs and pummels Neo ago, he gets back up after another 3 minutes. He pummels Neo AGAIN, he get's back up until FINALLY Smitch tries to make Neo his clone, Neo resists and wins, and you're saying [THANK GOD IT'S OVER!]
I just.... I wouldn't waste your time on seeing this movie. Here's how I rated the whole trilogy.
Matrix: Very good movie. Amazingly put together, all around great. Matrix Reloaded: It's okay but it could do with some work. But overall an okay movie. Matrix Revolutions: Dear god, why do they torcher us with this?
There's my say on it, lmao. Sorry if I'm harsh, it's about the only movie I've ever been harsh on besides 'The Adventures of Pluto Nash'.

Thanks for the Matrix review SG! I know you that 'saw' the movie, while we cant be too sure if other reviewers even watch what they review.. It sounds like they didnt have a strong story line and simply decided to create a special effects exposition. I skipped T3 for this same reason. Did you see it? Now I'm waiting until 'Timeline' comes out..that looks like its going to be 'good'....

No, I haven't seen T3 because my mom and brother saw it and said it wasn't very good, but it had it's highlights so I'm thinking about seeing it.
Timeline... timeline... the one with Sean William Scott? or... huh... Timeline... I'm trying to remember, as you can tell. I think I saw a commercial for that the other day but I'm not sure whose in it.... but the commercial looked awesome.

I'd heard that the Matrix had been really confusing from some people that saw the world wide premiere but was still thinking about seeing it but now after your review SG I think I'll wait to rent it out on DVD.

The matrix was very good at ending the trilogy. I recommend it to the fans of the first two. But in my opinion the second one is the best out of the three. Go see it.

On that note, I saw Timeline. It was a great movie, even a better book! I think some of the things the movie was missing was that it just didn't have some of the action the book did and the plot was just simply missing some things. But overall it was pretty good.

Yeah, I saw Timeline. It wasnt one of Paul Walkers best movie roles. But it was great. It really was. I saw it with my cousin, and he also liked it very much. I recommend it.
I also saw The Last Samauri. Now that was an AWESOME movie. Y'all should see it. I mean it. It was long, but it was great. Tom Cruise is soo hot in that movie. I definitly recommend it. ;D ;D ;D ;D
