Hellmouth Seal

I was just thinking, that on Buffy, in season 7. They needed Blood to open the seal, to get into the hellmouth. But in the earlier seasons, like in season 1, the hellmouth just opened and came through the library floor. and in season 3, when everyone tells Xander to stay away from harms way, the gang, including angel and faith fight off the hellmouth, that didnt need bllod either. It's just something I was thinking. I find it a bit weird

The seal was covered then, as you notice the seal wasn't in the principles office [the previous library]. That was the opening to hell but the seal, which only ever got uncovered in season seven, it a more contained opening to hell. So the library opening and the seal are two different things.
