SpikesGirl,
Quote: Very good idea, and I could probably do that. I'll have to think of some ways, if I went down to talk to a reporter or something I'd have to make sure that I have the shirt and that I set something up, which might be difficult to do but I'm sure that with all the connections that my acting studio has we could probably work something out. And with the commercial thing I've alreadi started thinking about some ways to do this, I have an acting clbutt tonight so I'll talk to them about it then...
-end quote- ----------------
Any news or ideas???

Actually I talked to some of the producers, teachers, ect. at my acting cl@sses and unfortunately I don't think we could really get the rights right now to promote Tru Calling in a commercial or just be in one of the MTV commercials with a Tru Calling shirt on, talking about something totally different. I think I'll have to come up with something else.
Although the other day I made some really cute flyers my friends and I p@ssed out in the mall about the air date of Tru Calling, what channel to watch, the time, ect. So that's some improvement. I'll probably go to a theatre next and do the same thing. It was fun the first time so it's kewl.
What I'm trying to look into is contacting maybe a reporter or something to talk about the show/airdates/channels/times/ect. It shouldn't be too hard, there's not many major stories on the news these days so it shouldn't hurt a schedule or anything and there's reporters numbers all over the web to call and trying to dig some up but until then I think I'll stick with flyers and maybe get a TC shirt to wear as I p@ss out the flyers? I dunno. It'll all come together though because I'm excited about it.

I've done the same thing by putting up flyers about Trucalling (Time, Date, What its about) I've put them up around my neigbourhoods, school, grocerie store and around my mothers work.
A few of them have come down (@ssuming that people have taken them to remind themselve)
I think that this has worked quite well.

OK, someone, and I'm not going to say who it was, came up with the crazy idea of constantly emailing Gary from Shock Jock Howard Stern's radio show, at: Gary@HowardStern.com Thats emailing him, over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over.. asking them to mention TC and your name (your nic) so you get credit for it. One announcement would reach millions of people...... ..OK, just for the record, I dont advise anyone to do this.

I plan on printing out custom made posters and putting them all over the town I live in. I also plan on calling all the local radio stations to praise the show heavily. My friend has a website and I plan on putting some banners there. I'll record my radio conversation, take pictures of me putting up the posters, and I'll give you a link to the site when the banner is up. I'm also going to send emails to people with a link to this site. All of this is sure to get the word out on this show.
