Lets see, a member from New Zealand won the first autograph..then a member from Canada won the TC email address, and even became a Moderator (thanx DC)..then another member from Canada won the next contest...I wonder where the next winner will be from? Heres the contest, since so many ppl. want Eliza autographed pics, thats the prize...now the rules... Its a TC Promotion Contest... whoever comes up with the best promotion for the show wins...the winner will be decided by a member poll. The catch is, you can't just come up with an idea, you have to actually do it. You could get in your local newspaper, or on tv...for example, standing behind a reporter holding up a sign that says 'TRU CALLING', or better yet, get the reporter to talk about the show. Or maybe you could call up radio personalities such as Howard Stern or Rush Limbaugh and get them to talk about the show. You have to supply proof of your promotion in the form of newspaper clippings,video, or audio, whichever applies....... You can do the promotion any time between now and the poll deadline, which is October 30th. Good luck...  |

Hi M, You just won the last contest yesterday, and you're a 'go getter', so Im worried about giving you any ideas... it might not be fair to the others! Im sure you could get through to Howard Stern and with a few 'pleasesssssss!'s' have him discuss Buffy, Eliza, Tru Calling,or if he would ever agree to be a 'dead' guest star, or anything else you wanted to talk about! ..that would be hard to beat... and I know you could do it, too! |

Whoa, it'll be hard to get people on TV to talk about Tru Calling... Hmmm, maybe I'll call a radio station and talk about Tru Calling and record it!

Hi M,
I just found out that Rush Limbaugh has 14.5 million weekly radio listeners -
Sean Hannity has 10 million and
both Howard Stern and Dr. Laura Schlessinger tie for third place with at least 8 million apiece.
You could find them through a search engine...I'm pretty sure you could get all of them to talk to you if you really wanted to!
I suggest you only call if they offer a toll free number!

I think this is a *very* interesting contest. I'm an actress and I go to acting cl@sses once a week and it's not like an actual cl@ss where you go and you sit at a table and listen to ppl. talk then act something out. The place we do our cl@sses is in a studio, with sets, live commercial taping, ect. We recently did a commercial for MTV so I was thinking about something I could do for the contest was try to get a commercial up about the show. We're @ssociated with Disney, and a lot of ppl. watch that, and we also do stuff for MTV and there's got to be millions of ppl. who watch MTV. So I'll get some video clips, put together a script (I love to write to) to promote TC and then pitch the idea. It might not go through but it's worth a try  |

I'll have to think of some ways, if I went down to talk to a reporter or something I'd have to make sure that I have the shirt and that I set something up, which might be difficult to do but I'm sure that with all the connections that my acting studio has we could probably work something out. And with the commercial thing I've alreadi started thinking about some ways to do this, I have an acting cl@ss tonight so I'll talk to them about it then, I could always use the shirt no matter what I decide to do for the contect but I'm definatley looking forward to promoting TC, it'll be so exciting, also what I can do is make up some flyers and p@ss them out to ppl. at the mall or starbucks...ect. I do have some friends who are big fans of Eliza so they'd probably help but promoting this is going to be so fun, regardless if I win or not, I'm just going to have fun |

Its a hard contest but nothing will stop me from advertising it. I definitely want to win an autograph pic of Eliza. Although is it okay to promote a show without permission cz i noe sometimes their r legal issues promoting smthg without permission from the show n stuff.

That would be really bad publicity for the network! I'll ask around, Im always working for Lawyers...Im sure we could promote the forum then ppl. would learn about the show here...for now I'll leave things as they are...besides, I never liked the name 'True Calling', so I got 'TruCalling.com' and started posting this to different forums: 'Congrats Eliza on your new show: TRU CALLING'! And this was even weeks before the name was changed, they might have even gotten the idea from me....not that they'd ever admit to it! |

Well thats nice to noe but i think it was called 'tru calling' from the beginning first they had the name heroine but then changed it to tru calling i have never seen them post it true calling before. Cz its like her name is Tru Davies and so its her calling so it would be tru calling. However, i think it would b nice to promote this forum cz i saw the official site and i didnt c much, the did have a message board but i think this one is so much better. NEXT they changed the name to: 'TRUE CALLING' Articles started appearing saying: 'Eliza Dushku's new tv show, whatever they end up calling it',....etc. NEXT they changed it yet again! To: 'Tru Calling' NEXT Eliza did interviews saying that the name of the show was now just 'TRU' There are several articles about this, and tv appearances. I really liked the name Heroine too though bcuz we don't have enough of those. And if ppl. ever asked 'What's that show about?' they would know by the name so....lmfao....they wouldn't have to ask. But Tru Calling is a good name too, I like it |

Hah thanks, it's the same ep. with Giles and his Car too. I think that some of the funniest quotes were in that ep...it was a good premiere episode.
