You can't say it's not coming back.. If the DVD sales are a huge success they would make more shows.. Take a look at Family Guy.. It got horrible ratings when it was first on air then they cancelled the show and released the DVD.. And it was a major hit and because of that they started making new shows for it.. Go DVD sales for TRU CALLING!!!

It is always "easy" to bring back Family Guy because it is ONLY a cartoon: you can use a computer to create NEW cartoon episodes...
..and you can hire any CHEAP actor to provide the voices for the cartoon characters: you DON'T need the original voice actors to continue Family Guy.
A cartoon like Family Guy can pretty much last forever because if one of the voice actors QUITS or DIES, then they can be replaced with ANOTHER voice actor and the fans of Family Guy will never know the difference!
Restarting a LIVE-ACTION TV show like Tru Calling is a lot more expensive and complicated than restarting a cartoon show like Family Guy BECAUSE the TV show’s cast members, producers, etc. have already moved on to TV, movie, and OTHER projects.
If you can’t REHIRE these cast members, then Tru Calling will stay “canceled” because it can’t be restarted without them: Eliza and the other actors are the MAIN stars of the show.
