I had sent an email last week to Amy Amatangelo, who does the "TV Gal" column on Zap2It.com, asking for information concerning the status of Point Pleasant and whether those of us who watch the show could expect some closure. I received her response this morning. She said that there will be no closure and no further episodes shown of Point Pleasant. How much longer will Fox continue beginning excellent shows and then just stopping without even allowing viewers to see the last episode? They just drop a series and then suddenly revive it (like Tru Calling) for an episode or two. I hope that they will at least do a DVD of the entire season and include the unaired episodes of Point Pleasant so we can find out what happens.

SOUTH BEACH (UPN) - Marcus Coloma ("Point Pleasant") is the first to be cast in the drama pilot, about two Brooklynites who move to Miami's South Beach and get caught up in a sexy and dangerous world. He'll play Matt Evans in the project, which is set up at Paramount Network Television, Tony Krantz's Flame Television and Jennifer Lopez & Simon Fields's Nuyorican banner. Philip Levens serves as an executive producer alongside Krantz, Lopez and Fields
