Yeah Baby! You guys haven't been posting to this thread - but messaging me about it instead- and you've been heard. From eonline.com: ASK KRISTIN SAID: Quote: Tru Calling (Fox): Gail Berman put the nail in the coffin last month, when she confirmed to reporters at the winter press tour that Tru Calling would not be coming back for another season but that the final six episodes (which I hear are unbelievable) would be aired. Still, one look at my email inbox and it's clear the fans are not giving up. -end quote- :-) KEEEEEP ON EMAILING HER.

Is Point Plesant still on? If it had been up against the last season of FRIENDS it wouldn't have even lasted two weeks. LOL I was just thinking - they tried to replace TC with NS and then PP. Whats next? BS?

Point Pleasant isn't that bad of a show. I have seen every episode and it is interesting. Don't get me wrong, I am dissapointed that Tru Calling won't be coming back, but at least we will get the last six episodes if everthing goes as planned. I am not saying that you guys should give up on Tru Calling, but don't hate on Point Pleasant just because it took TC's place. Give it a fair chance and if you still don't like it then that's your prerogative.

March 15, 2005 Point Fate Not Pleasant? From SciFi.com: Marti Noxon, executive producer of Fox's struggling supernatural series Point Pleasant, told SCI FI Wire that she and the writing staff are crafting a season finale that will provide a sense of closure in part because she doubts the show will get picked up for a second season. The finale will leave some threads dangling, but will also wrap things up for fans who tuned in to all 13 episodes. "I'm pretty much counting on not coming back," Noxon said in an interview. "Our numbers make [Fox's quickly canceled series] North Shore look like a hit. That sucks, but I've gotten past the pain." Point Pleasant stars Elisabeth Harnois as Christina Nickson, the teenage daughter of the devil and a mortal woman, whose presence in the town of Point Pleasant, N.J., kicks off the ultimate battle between the forces of good and evil. "The only thing that kills me is that I feel like the show got a lot better as we found what worked and what didn't work," Noxon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) said. "You go through this process and see results, and you're already dead, which is hard. And we are plotting the finale so that it will be satisfying if we get canceled. But it's also a big fat cliffhanger so we can continue the second season in my backyard sock puppet theater." Point Pleasant airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT. info @ www.tvtome.com/PointPleasant/

From realitytvworld.com:
Fox cancels its struggling 'Point Pleasant' drama
UPI News Service, 03/24/2005 "Point Pleasant," the Fox show about supernatural doings in a Jersey Shore town, is sliding into the sea of cancellation. Network executives announced that the show airing last Thursday was the final episode. The first episode featured a mysterious young woman who might be the daughter of the Devil washing up on the beach. "Point Pleasant" attracted some devoted fans but failed to lure a m@ss audience. "Point Pleasant" began as a mid-season replacement for "Tru Calling." Now, the final six episodes of "Tru Calling" replace "Point Pleasant."
In a valedictory e-mail to fans, Marti Noxon, the executive producer, said she was just as glad that the show ended with the seventh episode, saying that the eighth episode, which would have aired this week "didn't come together the way I would have liked and I would have hated for that to be our final word."
