HONG KONG, May 31: Rock Star: INXS, Mark Burnett's reality show for CBS this July, is among the new shows slated to launch on STAR's pan-regional entertainment network Star World this summer.
Also on the reality front, Star World has taken Invasion Iowa, in which William Shatner convinces an entire town that they're going to be the stars of a big-budget science fiction film, even though it's all a sham. Also coming to the network this summer are the specials Elvis By The Presleys and Pamela Anderson: Laid Bare.
On the drama end, the channel has slated Desperate Housewives to launch July 5, and has also picked up Tru Calling and The Collector, and adding to its comedy lineup, Star picked up the acclaimed series Little Britain.

I actually got this news just b4 walking out the door to go down to Washington, DC for a couple days. I havent found any other news about this. 'Picked up' usually means picked up by another network to make new ep's. Not sure here...would anyone pick up the show for re-runs with so few ep's made? I had hoped someone would have found more info by now. As for me I need zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Maybe we'll learn something tomorrow.  |

first ya'll said that it got picked up by the wb which didn't happen and now another network.... does that post mean it will be on abc... i'm confused.plus someone has already said the set has been torn down a while ago

Tru Calling has been picked up but by what network and is the network in USA? Honestly for us here living in USA I do hope so that it got picked up by a network in USA because if not there are gonna be alot of pple who are loyal & die-hard fans of TC that are gonna be majorly dissapointed and pizzed off as well. Can someone let us all know of the network that picked TC up; I m hoping for a USA network. And honestly it sounds like ABC to me because that network shows desperate housewives.

im hopin space channel in canada plays tru calling,i think they will,plus being filmed in canada fills the required canadian content laws.

hi, TC is airing in manila, phils. every monday at 8 and lots of Filipinos love the show. A local channel here - Studio 23 airs it. Well, the show is delayed but what the heck, at least we can still watch it!
