What I read in a book once, I have no clue which one it was, but anyway. I dunno how this should go...okay in the book, this little girl sent a teddy bear with a letter attached, around the world, letter saying 'Hi, My name is *so and so*. I'm trying to get around and see the world, if you get me, write your state on the letter and pbutt it on.' Or whatever. I dunno, corny idea, yah. But to promote the show maybe someone could send out a...flyer or a...shirt with TRU CALLING written on it and a small letter saying 'If you get this shirt please write your state on the back of it and promise to watch the premiere of Tru Calling, Thursday, October 30th at 8:00p.m. on FOX. Once you've put your state on the back of the shirt, pbutt it on. Thank you!' Or something, creative idea but yes, very corny. Just something that popped into my head earlier lmao.
P.S. Also add in the note when to send back to the original person, and whoever has it on that date will send it back. When you get it you count how many people's states you got on there.

That would be an awesome idea!!!! But how would you do that exactly. Cause I think that that would work. Or at least be a good way to promte Tru Calling

Wow, someone who actually thinks it's good. I was really expected 'You're crazy! How stupid is that?!' hehe.
Well what I would do is...take an old plain white shirt, get a black marker, write 'TRU CALLING' on the front of it, then right below it put 'New show on FOX starring Eliza Dushku. The series premieres Thursday, October 30th, (check local listings for time).'
And then write a letter saying 'To whom it may concern, I'm sending this shirt out to promote the new FOX series starring one of my personal favs, Eliza Dushku. If you get this shirt and then promise to watch the premiering episode write your first name and state on the back of the shirt in black marker. Then when you're done, send it on to a friend and tell him/her to send it to another friend, in a different state. Only sign your first name and state if you promise to watch the premiere of TRU CALLING. I please ask that the shirt be returned to me at <insert address here> by at least November 5th. Thank you!'
And the first person you send it to should be a friend from another state...if you decide to do this. And it'll be a way for the shirt to get around all over the U.S. and back again.
Maddisson, what you could do is possibly start a shirt going of your own? I think the more people who do this, the better and farther it'll go, the more people it'll reach, and then when you get the shirt back, post how many people signed on here. I say the people with the most names wins?? (I dunno what they'll win but they'll win something? hehe.) But overall it won't be about winning or losing, just promoting the show and getting a goody for it, lmao.
Sound good? *nervous*

Okay I have another really good idea. And this is something my mom and I came up and it's very similar to the first one. I'm leaving for New York tomorrow morning and we were thinking. I'd get a big white shirt, write TRU CALLING on the front, airing date, time, ect. I'm going up for a wedding so I'll get people up there to sign the back of the shirt if they promise to watch it, and when I get back and attend my acting cl@ss I'll get people there to watch it, too. And then by the time TC Airs I'll come on here and tell you how many names I got my shirt. Similar to the first idea but with this you don't have to send it all over the world. And this one if you guys wanna do it, just go out wearing the shirt and get people to promise to watch and sign. I'm going to the mall tonight to get a white shirt and maybe get the info for TC silk scanned (or something?) on the front and then leave for new york in the morning. So I'm definately doing this. Anyone else, go ahead . And have fun with anything you decide to do!

Hey Spikesgirl4evr,
I think I'm also going to do the second idea. It seems alot easier than sending it around the world. Also, I f I send it around the world, I may not get it back.
So maybe this will work
(I'll get a shirt also and go around my city getting signatures.) (Im also heading out of the city this weekend. So I could get others from the place Im going to sign my shirt too)
Awesome Idea You're idea sounds great.

I'm so happy to hear that! This way TC will start out with a bang, many viewers. And thanks, I came up with the first one from a book, second one I molded into originality...if that's what you wanna call it, lmao.

Its an awesome idea anyway. And i agree that this will defenitly be a to promote Tru Calling. We should try to aim for a certain amount of signatures, like 100 or something. It would then be a goal.

Hey spikesgril4evr, what do you think about the goal idea.?? Then maybe, when we[ve got the shirt signed, we could put a pic of theshirt up on the page, to show the proof of the signatures we got.

Good idea! Goals would be great, we should all set a goal for about 50...I dunno if 100 will exactly fit on the shirt unless people right small and the shirt is huge, lmao. About the posting a pic...I dunno I'd have no way of getting it on here, I don't have a scanner, although I have a digital camera? Hmmm

You guys honestly amaze me! Whoa u wud do anything to promote TC which is good, im glad. Just i wud never do that the first idea is risky having an address on it and its being sent all around i wud never do that way to big of a risk and the second aint bad at all. Go ahead and get ppl to sign the tshirt and promote while ur at it. I wish u guys good luck. I cant wait for the show but honestly i dont have the time to do smthg like that and second i wud never wear smthg that i wrote a marker on saying Tru Calling. However, i got my profile into the yearbook where it will show my favorite shows and one if them is Tru Calling and second we have a newspaper for our skool that goes to students and their having a free space for advertisment i mite make a tru calling small banner showing the time and where and when it starts and get it into the paper. I dont noe but i mite consider it!

I understand but the people you would send it to first are friends/family and then they would put it in a different box and send it to their friends/family and so on. But anyway, I went with the second idea. I counted 57 signatures the other day, I need to recount when I get home tomorrow night because it was 57 the day before the wedding when we were cooking and meeting people so anyway. I'll take a digital pic. of it when I get home too if anyone needs proof like Maddisson says. I know there were at leadt 80 people at the wedding and I think I got almost everyone to sign but it's just a matter of counting tomorrow, hehe.
