Hey T, LoL yer i know what u mean about being stuck on the wheel, day in day out its the same thing over an over an over an over......... (if thats what u meant anyway) Thats prolly why i like programs like Buffy, Angel, and now TC so much.....Pure escapeism(sp?) Dont ya just wish sometimes that u could just live it yaself... anyway that really is another topic of discussion Cyas -J-

Hey J,
I know what you mean about it being the topic for another discussion...but..
I can totally relate, escapism!
I get enough of reality, more than enough, traveling everyday from 'the real hood', where people wouldnt even drive down the street, to mansions in the Hamptons. And its true, people are people, there are good and bad no matter what their economic statis.
I used to watch This Week with David Brinkley and read The Wall Street Journal, but now its Whats a newspaper? And is Howard Stern on? And I only watch TC, Enterprise, Angel and Smallville...ok, sometimes, Charmed, ..A.M...'ouch'...
If you think about, all of these shows are about HEROS...maybe its a secret desire to change this backward world for the better, while escaping from it for a minute, to a place were good wins.

Hey T,
Heh u know i think u might have hit 'it' right on the nose there... ive not had a bad life (infact some may even say ive had it pretty good) and compaired to alot of peoples my life is pretty sweet but yer we all have our fair share of problems. I live in a pretty average english 'rural' town with ya old people, ya young people, ya scag heads, ya largerlouts infact its a pretty big mixture of different groups. but more and more people seem to be turning from 'just getting on with as an ordinary life as they can to makin trouble, kickin the crap outta each other, Rapes, Murders, and paedophilia (Which as worryin an sick as it is really does seem to be on the rise).
now this is a generalisation im pretty sure things like this are on the up everywhere you go but to previously quiet communities its a hell of shock if u really stand back and look at the picture.
The more u look at this world (and the harder) the more it really does look crappy and like u said who wouldnt want to 'escape' from this world to a place where people give a @~*$ and actually try to help one another..... question is are enuff of us steppin back an sayin "Hey why just watch this stuff and 'imagine' why dont i actually TRY" but this ofcourse is more difficult then it looks and it really does take a special person to actually DO.
Anyway sorry about the rather Depressing an deep an meaning full post but its nice to see someone that actually seems to think along the same lines as me for once rather than sayin "Well What Do You Expect ME To Do About It".....
Cyas all -J-

Hey everyone, Thanx all for the congrats , it was a good contest. Um about escaping reality I totally agree, that's why Im into all these saving people or saving the world, good ova evil shows. I think that people can't do all the supernatural things that we see these heros do on tv. And that people mostly tend to cause distruction (all of this almost always seems to be over money, not including the mentally ill). But overall I think that we can make a difference, those of us who want to. Not in a big way like like saving the world but in small ways, and maybe it will add up in the long run. But hey people always told me I was too optimistic. So Im probably wrong about the world turning into a more peacefull place. So thats why I have a television set still keeping my little hope alive. Ever heard of what some people call S.E.P it means
Somebody Elses Problem its a well documented train of thought for probably 90% of the worlds population.
If u live in a bigcity more than anywhere...say when someone is walkin down the street an they see someone getting mugged, havin the crap kicked outta them or whateva and instead of helpin them they think...well they dont think they just walk on by and dont really give it a second thought, some may call the police afterwards but lets face it by then its a bit late.
This is the reason reality sux so much peoples willingness to just think ohhh well at least its not me. its S.E.P
Just think about and in the future remember this short little saying
All it takes for true evil to win, is for one good person to do NOTHING.

And you know, that is the sad reality. And that's why someday I'll go insane from watching Buffy over and over again where they always win. They never get defeated... that always win. And that's the world that I want to live in. That's the happy alternate reality.

Hey, I got the "Wrong Turn" DVD yesterday, and Im lovin it. Thanks T, Im forever greateful you expanded my little DVD collection. All I had were some oldies, like Scarface, and that movie It and a couple of more. lol it's sad I know, half of my DVDs get stolen by my lil sis. And then my pops calls and asks why my 11 yearold sis has R rated movies. I need to locked em up or somethin.

Segceevee,
You may have a small collection of DVD's but you have some cl@ssics! 'IT' is an awesome movie, and even a more awesome book and would definately be rated as a cl@ssic.
And 'Scarface', do I really need to say anything more? CL@ssIC!

Lol! Oh that's really okay. As I am excited, I'm fine with waiting, I'll get it at long last, right? But man, you'd think lying would work. LOL. I'm just kidding, heh. But a blizzard, huh? Eesh, doesn't sound to good! And I thought it was bad weather down here... well it is but not blizzardlike at the moment, lol.
