Tru Davies (Eliza) is a smart, sexy recent college graduate who finds herself working the midnight shift at the New York City morgue. 
One night, Tru questions reality when she thinks she hears a murder victim asking for her help.  But the next morning, Tru wakes up to find that she is back at the beginning of the previous day -- twelve hours before a murder that only she knows is about to take place. 
With the clock ticking, she is compelled to scour the city of New York to prevent this wrongful death, while at the same time trying to make a difference in her family's unhappy lives.

I always liked Faith because her life was never settled, it was always off balance and like running on a never ending tread mill or on a hampster's wheel.
No matter how hard she tried or how fast she ran she never could get off of it.
I can relate...
Its supposed to start, from what I have read, with the flashbackof the death of Tru's mother..the show hasn't aired yet, but from experience, I'd say this event separates the family. Maybe distance relieves pain?
Also,in the show her older sister is a druggie, again, relatable;...when my niece was given drugs and left to die on a kitchen floor, it ruined my older sister...my neice was only 14 years old...after that my sister drank herself to death, at 39.
And Tru's brother sounds like a 'con-man', a gambler, etc.
My brother is the only cool person I ever met in my life, and his life story would make a book beyond belief.
He finally had it all, too much to even mention...then he to left this mortal sphere at 36...which got me interested in time travel in the first place...as in 'is it possible to go back a 'day'

It all comes full circle with Eliza's new show...I can't wait to see how she handles 'playing G-d'....I know what I would do.....

hey, does anyone know if Tru Calling will be airing in Australia cause we've heard nothing about it here. Also while i'm on the topic does anyone know what kind of media player plays avi or div files? i', downloadin the first pilot ep off kazaa but it dosn't work please email me if you know urgently. thanx

Like a lot of ppl I couldnt stand her, but after Faith basically gave her the same speech Buffy did, and she got it, then I did...maybe its the ol' Wil&Oz thing I miss, too...dunno..
