The name of Eliza's New show has been changed several times, see the list: 1)Heroine 2)True Calling 3)Tru Calling 4)Tru Then it was changed back to: Tru Calling Heres part of an article from: www.buffy.nu/article.php3?id_article=1460 I changed some words to CAPS: -Quote- Eliza Dushku's new Fox drama TRU CALLING is undergoing alterations, with ANOTHER TITLE CHANGE and reshoots after the departure of key co-stars. TRU is the NEW TITLE of the supernatural series, developed as HEROINE before adopting the name Tru Calling. Fox has placed an initial order for 13 episodes of Tru, but seemingly called for the removal of a supporting character. -end quote- They forgot to mention that it was titled: TRUE CALLING , for a while,too. I like the one they finally settled on.  |

BTW I put 'Faith' up there because originally I was @!@%!@ that she wasn't going to do a Faith The Slayer show.. but now I can't wait for Tru Calling to start! |

I have to say that I *really* like the name they settled on, Tru Calling. But if they had kept Heroine I would have been just as satisfied. |

I really like the name Tru Calling but I agree with what Spikesgirl4eva said, Heroine would've also been a good name.

I think that a lot of ppl. liked the name HEROINE; But there were some concerns with using the word. First its very close to the 'drug'. And second, the root word, 'hero'. Ppl think of Hero's as 'superheros'. Like Batman, Wonder Woman, etc. And Tru Davies doesn't have any superpowers, so it might have been confusing to some ppl. Of course I like 'Tru Calling'... I did think of it 'first'. Ive been reading A LOT of posts from ppl on alot of different forums (Buffy,Angel,TC,etc.) who loved the show, and so far the only complaints are her constantly running and the 'flash re-cap' of what just happened in the same show. I think they have to faze both of these out...the re-caps are easy enough, just have her 'wake up' with a start! Ppl. will 'get it', then she could just say something like,'Not again!' Or just give a 'look'...or just 'show realization in her eyes and just shake her head'.(We'll 'feel' for her) Or just scream and cover her face with her hands...and shake her head. Then next time, mouth a word '#@#!'..and fall back on the bed and put the pillow over her face. It could be 'a thing' on the show. Once she gets used to it, she could looked annoyed,or amused, or simply ignore it..or yell out 'Not 'TODAY!', yesterday sucked!' Or 'Alright!..yesterday was a GOOD DAY!' ...maybe she met 'someone'... As for the running...taxi!? It is Manhattan.....a bike? Lots of bike messangers around...and what happens if someone steals her bike?! Then Tru could actually say, 'dayumit! More running??!!' |

I did think about why they changed the name from Heroine to Tru Calling when I first saw the commercial for the series and the things that popped into my mind was well Heroine.. drugs. I think that kinda played a major part in the name change because maybe once someone told their parents 'Hey! I'm watching Heroine!' they would tell their children to turn the TV off and to go to their rooms! lmao. Because the name is kinda trouble but I still like it and in my eyes Tru is a hero, she saves people's lives and her power is going back in time and saving people who don't deserve to die yet. But I get where you're coming from cuz I guess it's not really a SUPER power, lmao. Also the running thing. My gawd, does she get tired? I mean, she does A LOT of running! I would like.. call a cab or buy a bike or something!  |

I know what your saying about the her running to stop the murder. Every time I see her run I always think to myself why doesn't she drive or take a bus or something.

Ive seen two episodes of tru calling the first one had a twist. the second one I didn't see but I wanted to. the third one was kind of boring. I think this show is o.k. but it needs more excitment

iam sorry to say this but i cant seem to get into the show i dont know why maybe because she dosent fight but it could be better iam going to give it another chance because i love eliza dushku so much

Thank god she finally uses a cab... all that running made me exhausted... must mean I'm really lazy, heh. I think people will get more and more into the show the deeper the twists and the more it gets known as the regular fox schedule. |
