I was really worried that I was going to hate TC...since I only know Eliza as 'Faith', and I 'love' Faith...w/her rough life, and yet she just keeps on going and trying to do good...I can relate to her. But it turns out that I can relate even more to Tru....and her 'family'. I did p/u 'Bring It On' tonight...But now that I like 'Tru', Im not sure I want to watch it......she's a cheerleader in this? Ummmmm, OK, I twisted my own arm... Where was I..?...oh yeah... 'TC ROCKS!' ....hope this post is somewhat coherent - I just drove an hour and a half through blinding rain, after a 'yuck' day...and I am whooped. And..Welcome to the forum...make yourself at home!

I think it's an instant hit... take that herc-- I mean, uhm. Okay.
The night of the premiere I had a king sized Twix at my side, my room freshly cleaned, pjs on, hair up, and VCR set to record it. It was a comfortable viewing and it made it all the better. I mean, even if I was in a terrible mood I think I would have been happy just for it to premiere. The plot was-- actually --pretty good for a premiere episode. And it kept me looking forward to tonight's episode.
And guys, I read a little article the other week in Entertainment Weekly and I heard Eliza will be in short shorts and-- no.. I shouldn't say it, you guys enjoy! lmao.
In 'Bring It On' Eliza's character is a cheerleader but it's not actually as stupid as you'd think. I hate cheerleading movies but when I heard Eliza was in it I rented it... her character isn't at all like Faith except the beginning when she first appears. She's a rough and tumble Gymnist who hates cheerleaders and she has that basic Faith attitude that we all know and love but then she morphs into a *shudder/gasp* cheerleader. But it's a pretty good all around movie.
Also another good two movies you should see with Eliza are: 'Bye Bye Love' and 'The New Guy'.
Bye Bye Love: It's one of her early ones and she's really good in it, I think it's very good-- rent it!! Also Amber Benson [Tara on BtVS] appears in it as her best friend so there's a good treat.
The New Guy: It's a pretty recent one, made in 2001 pr 2002 and once again, she's a cheerleader but only a few clips of her actually cheering. But she's a pretty major character, very good-- also good comedy.
So once you've seen these movies you'll really like Tru for her originality because, not a cheerleader, or that young, lmao. This is a pretty unique character for Eliza and she's doing a pretty good job, yeah?

I recommend Bring It On, its a really funny movie, and if you watched Buffy then you'll recognize Clare Kramer in it too (she played Glory). Eliza's character was my fave in the movie of course. About Tru Calling, its just excellent! I love Tru even more than Faith

I knew I'd love the show from the start. But I also had my doubts about the show, because I've never seen Eliza play a role like this before. But now that te shoe has started, I love it. Its a great show. And hopeully it will last.

Yup, the evil female dog monster of death blondie was the girl who also played Glory. I have to say though, I love Klare Kramer, such a good actress.
