it all depends on what your working with.. If you have a camcorder you can put them on a tape from there and transfer them to your computer that way..
And if you have a PC there's a few programs you can learn to use to do that.. A good one is mIRC but it's hard to use if you don't know what your doing..
I have a Mac so I use bit torrent sites and limewire to download shows..

oh i can't do that
i have a friend who works at some dvd store and he can get me free dvd sometimes and if i like them i have them , but if i don't he puts them in the second hand tray.
i just got wonderfalls from him. i m not buying it i just wanted to try the show out.
when point plesant comes out in october he will give me that to rent cos i wanna see the 5 unaired episodes
the only dvd's i ever brought using money and not for free, was buffy and tru and dlm
